We are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer in Test (SET) to build scalable test automation, developer productivity tools, and test infrastructure. The role is UI automation heavy, with strong focus on Playwright/Cypress, TypeScript/JavaScript, API and performance testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted engineering. Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Cypress with TypeScript/JavaScript. • Build comprehensive UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation for enterprise-scale applications. • Develop API automation using REST Assured and REST APIs. • Design and execute performance/load testing using JMeter and analyse performance bottlenecks. • Build and integrate automated tests into CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions pipelines. • Develop reusable testing libraries, utilities, and developer productivity tools. • Leverage GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and other GenAI tools to accelerate automation development, debugging, test generation, refactoring, and improve test coverage. • Identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate flaky tests, automation failures, and test infrastructure issues. • Work with DevOps/SRE on Docker, Kubernetes, cloud environments, and test orchestration. • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical automation and production incidents. • Perform RCA for production and automation issues and drive preventive actions. • Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product managers, and distributed/North America engineering teams to drive quality ownership. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 5–8 years of experience in SDET/Software Test Engineering or equivalent. • Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript; Java/Python is a plus. • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress. • Experience with REST Assured/API automation. • Hands-on experience with JMeter or equivalent performance testing tools. • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, particularly CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. • Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments. • Strong debugging skills with logs, monitoring, and distributed systems. • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code. • Strong ownership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to participate in on-call and production support. Preferred Qualifications • Experience building test frameworks or developer productivity tools at scale. • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications. • Experience with advanced JMeter, Gatling, or Locust. • Knowledge of observability, tracing, and performance monitoring. • Experience building or adopting AI-driven testing solutions.
