\nThe people directory filters on three axes. Skills match the skills list on published profiles -- self-described vocabulary, which is why searching by skills deserves its own guide. Location matches the profile's stated base. Availability matches the \"open to\" flags: roles, freelance, advising, co-founding. Combine axes freely; each added filter narrows, never reorders -- there is no relevance score being gamed, so page one is not for sale.
\nThe company directory filters on industry (the company's self-declared sector), size (headcount band), location (where it operates) and hiring (whether it currently lists open roles -- see finding companies). The hiring filter deserves emphasis: it is a live join against the roles table, so a company appears the moment it publishes and disappears the moment it closes.
\nThe job board filters on keyword (matched against titles and descriptions), remote posture and seniority. Only open roles at published companies appear -- closed roles leave the index immediately while their pages stay live for citations.
